You may have noticed that we recently added a 1971 Nissan Bluebird 1600 SSS to our stock here at JDM Legends. We had a few minutes to take it out last week to get a couple pictures of the car that we wanted to share.
The Bluebirds are well known around the world for their racing heritage in rally and road racing. In Japan, the upper end of the Bluebird lineup was the SSS. The SSS versions offered a slight horsepower increase by adding a higher compression head, slightly more aggressive camshaft, and twin side-draft carburetors. This particular Bluebird has been further upgraded with a pair of Mikuni 40mm side-draft carburetors and equal length headers to offer even more power and response.
This Bluebird has received a nice set of Volk TE37V wheels to add a bit more flare to the already great looking exterior really making it stand out among the crowd. It has also been lowered down with a coil-over conversion in the front matched with a lowering spring in the rear to give it a great look and even better handling.
The interior has been fitted with a Datsun competition style racing bucket driver seat and nice aftermarket steering wheel giving it the perfect mixture of sporty and original. You can be certain this car will make you smile as you drive it down the street or on the track.
The Bluebird SSS came equipped with all the desirable badges, lights, and trim which has made them a great investment that will be sure to catch a lot of attention anywhere you take it.
