Just got these in the mail from a very talented artist and fellow J-tin enthusiast that goes by the name Dsalni.
He also does some of the most awesome canvas prints I’ve ever seen. Some of them are based on customers personal cars, and others just on cars that he likes. Here’s a couple that were based off of his own S30 Z, which is a work of art in it’s own right.
And here is his S30…
It’s always nice to see I’m not the only one that has to deal with snow
This one here has to be my personal favorite for obvious reasons. One way or another I am going to get one of these prints if it kills me. If you want to pick up any of these prints or stickers check out his blog here: Dsalni’s Weblog
I decided to use 3 of the stickers on the Starlet because this car is definitely under level 3 construction. Probably for a long time.
And while I’m on the sticker kick I decided to finally use some I’ve had laying around for a while to spruce up the ol’ tool box.
And last up is my trusty old hand-me-down welding helmet. Sorry Josh, flames are cool but not exactly my style and this thing was looking a bit haggard from all the use and abuse over the years. Time for a 5 minute respray.
It’s hard to go wrong with flat black, scuff it up, spray and done. Gotta represent!!
Real work soon….

Man, covered the flames……I’m pissed! Your preaching to the choir. Remember mine is flat black.
The painted helmets cost more and the graphic comes off. No more of those for me.
Wish I had any kind of project car. If too long goes by without something to work on I will loose why I am a car guy.:(
Hey, I’ve got an STi emblem you could have. Was in the glovebox of my suby. haha
I love Dsalni’s prints. Gotta get me one for my bday next year.
WOW Eric! Thanks so much for the kind words and pretty much the feature!! I’m very honored man.. speechless.. thanks a million for all the love!!
@Josh, LOL Yeah… your new helmet is super sweet. I’m jealous. The flop action on this one gets way loose so that’s annoying but it keeps the sparks out of my face and prevents my eyeballs from melting so I can’t complain.
@Hechtspeed, Bring it!! And BTW, is that exhaust annoying yet?
@Dennis, No problem man, you do great work…. thanks for the stickers. Christmas is coming so hopefully I can gift myself a Hakosuka print for the wall.
As a side note, the prints are super sweet too.
Nice..Dennis has an amazing talent…any info on those JDM Legend stickers Eric??
DO WANT.
I know, I know…. I’ve been working on it but my sticker dude lags like no other. I will let you know when I get a batch in for sure.
